March 20, 2020 – Pennsylvania Governor Wolf issued an order on March 19, 2020, regarding the closure of all businesses that are not life sustaining. The Governor’s order included a list of industries that are considered to be “life sustaining.” These are specifically exempt from the shutdown.
Each of McCarthy Tire’s businesses are authorized to continue operations. They include:
· Automotive parts, accessories, and tire stores.
· Freight trucking.
· Support activities for on-the-road transportation.
· Vehicle repair and maintenance.
· Rubber manufacturing.
· Warehousing and storage.
McCarthy Tire falls under these exemptions, as our business is the backbone of interstate transportation activities.
