McCarthy Tire Celebrates 100th with Acquisition of Henise Tire Service Commercial Division

WILKES-BARRE, PA – March 10, 2026 – McCarthy Tire Service, a family-owned leader in the commercial tire industry, is proud to announce the acquisition of the commercial fleet business of Henise Tire Service Inc. This expansion comes during a landmark year for the company as it celebrates its 100th anniversary of serving the transportation industry.

Effective March 9, 2026, McCarthy Tire Service acquired the commercial fleet truck tire sales, shop services, and Bandag retreading operations of Henise Tire Service. As part of this strategic acquisition, McCarthy Tire will continue to operate two key locations in Allentown and Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Henise Tire Service will continue to independently own and operate its core wholesale and retail consumer tire businesses at all of its current locations, except Bensalem, Pennsylvania.

The acquisition is built on the promise of “Continuity You Can Count On.” Customers will maintain uninterrupted access to the premium brands they rely on, including Bridgestone, Firestone, Yokohama, Continental, and General. McCarthy Tire will also continue to manufacture the high-quality Bandag retreads that have been a staple of Henise Tire Service’s commercial fleet business.

Beyond product continuity, Henise Tire Service’s commercial fleet customers will now gain access to McCarthy Tire’s robust, commercial 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance featuring in-house dispatchers and dedicated technicians.

Effective March 9, Henise Tire Service sold its commercial end-user sales, shop services, and Bandag manufacturing to McCarthy Tire Service.
