February 5, 2020 – McCarthy Tire Service announces that effective February 5, the retail department from its store at 1004 Stony Battery Road in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has moved to the company’s automotive center at 1916 West Main Street in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Every member of the team has relocated to the Mount Joy location.
Adam Green, previously the retail manager at the Lancaster store, has assumed the role of assistant manager in Mount Joy under the direction of long-time manager, Jeff Will. Will continues to oversee all aspects of the automotive operation.
Jeff Will was the location manager for the GCR Tires & Service retail and commercial operations in Mount Joy since 2003. McCarthy Tire Service acquired both stores in 2017 as part of a six-store acquisition deal. In July 2019, McCarthy Tire closed the commercial location and moved the team to its Lancaster facility to strengthen services for its trucking and agricultural customers.
By consolidating retail operations into the Mount Joy store, McCarthy Tire has focused services at both locations. Mount Joy is a dedicated automotive center with a robust, highly trained team of tire technicians and mechanics for passenger vehicles and light trucks. The Lancaster store now exclusively handles commercial tire sales and service, truck mechanical work, and fleet services, as well as tire sales and service for off-the-road, industrial, and agricultural equipment.
